Arishtabhanga means to break the evils within a chart. arishtabhanga This is a general yoga which gives protection to the chart because it 'breaks the evils'. It is interested to note that the word bhanga seems to have become bungle which means to mess up or break. Means that the arishtas or evils in the chart are bhanga or broken.
